My Writings

In my spare time (what little I have of it), I've put together some works of fiction. Ultimately, I'd like to write for a living, but that is a few years off. Tom Clancy didn't start writing until he was 43 years old so I have some time.

Technical Writing:

I've written several papers about various technical matters. I've put them all in Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) format. In the Spring of 1999, I wrote a paper on something I called Strategic Information Warfare. It gives some general explanations of what information warfare is and how it might affect the United State in the near future. Just some general thoughts and remember that many things have changed since 1999.

	During my time as a Graduate Student at the University of Houston, I had the opportunity to work with many talented people.  This article was published in cooperation with Terry T Kidd, a friend and classmate of mine at the University of Houston's College of Technology. The title of the article is Intrusion Detection and Information Security Audits.
	In the Spring of 1999, I wrote a paper on something I called Strategic Information Warfare. 	I've also written a paper on the differences between Linux and Windows NT. It was published in the Spring of 2000 and I called it Windows vs. Linux. Since writing that paper, I've dramatically changed my mind about Linux. Check out my Linux page.
	I've put together a sample Technology Life Cycle plan. It explains what a technology life cycle is for workstations, servers, and other information technology components. It was originally published sometime in late 1999 or early 2000.
	I've also set up a portal for my Thesis/Project work as part of my graduate studies at the University of Houston. This site contains a copy of my Thesis.
	I've included a copy of a Security Assessment that I produced as part of my graduate studies.

Fictional Works of Art:

I have several works of fiction in the pipeline. Usually, I try to write what is called military fiction or science fiction. I'll post some excerpts from my stories here periodically. So check back soon.  Are you interested?  Go to the Contact Me section and send me an email.

	Turncoats, Inc.. This is a story about drugs, arrogance, greed, and the price one pays for accepting the impossible challenge.  More to come...........
	United We Stand. This story centers around the idea of both Christian & Muslim nations joining forces to fight an evil rising from the East.  More to come...........
	I'm full of ideas - let's just hope they come to something one of these days.  I'm sure I'll think of another story or two so stay tuned!
